I have recently rediscovered my passion for drawing and painting since returning to live in New Zealand earlier this year with my husband and two boys.
I mostly drew portraits when I was younger and eventually dabbled in painting still life, animals and people after being introduced to it in High School. Now, after 21 years of being a primary school teacher, I am excited to make more time for my art alongside my career.
Lately, I have become interested in exploring how I can blend real life images and my imagination based on a growing interest in fossils, native wildlife and the geological history of New Zealand or the sub continent of Zealandia. I am curious to see where this inspiration and artwork takes me, alongside my love for storytelling.
