Anthea creates a thoughtful collection of textured wall art under the practice name RAMLOËT. Her work values patience and attention, both in making and in viewing.
Working across drawing, fibre, plaster, photography and UV-printed imagery, she explores how perception shifts over time. A stitched drawing reveals hours of handwork. A grid exposes hundreds of small deviations. An abstract image reveals itself into a specific place. Rather than delivering everything at once, the work allows meaning to unfold at an individual pace.
Marks, textures and natural variations are part of the work’s life, meant to be noticed and appreciated as they age and she hopes it encourages others to begin and to find beauty in imperfection. Each piece is created to bring a sense of ease: considered, tactile and open to interpretation.
