About
Anton is a Rolleston-based artist, formally trained at the Moscow School of Fine Art and Design. With over ten years of practice, he creates vibrant oil landscapes inspired by New Zealand’s Southern Alps, forests, and lakes, building on a professional foundation in digital art and photography.
Anton works both outdoors and in his studio, using expressionistic realism to highlight colour and shifting light in Canterbury scenery. His technique brings movement and atmosphere to familiar places. He also takes commissions for portraits and still life, applying the energetic technique and eye for detail.
Today his paintings are held in private collections in New Zealand and overseas.
Alongside his studio work, Anton teaches art to children and adults, focusing on fine art fundamentals and anatomy, and runs art workshops for local communities.
