Gail Anderson – Alumna of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
I learned stained glass leading methods there as well as drawing. Now resident in Christchurch – having grown up here as a child. I am primarily a printmaker but use other media along with printing methods using linocuts, woodblocks, and intaglio using softer etching materials such as acetate and tetra pak linings. I enjoy embossing with the addition of intaglio or watercolour reminiscent of the methods developed by Marilyn Webb in her early cloudscapes. Subjects are usually from the natural world including animals as I am also a veterinarian and do love my dogs and am passionate about the human animal bond.
