I am Katherine Bennetts, a local Christchurch artist who has always enjoyed drawing.
Lately, I have been working with coloured pencils and the birds of New Zealand inspire me. I like to capture the birds close up to show their beauty and character. I come from a draughting background, so visual accuracy is important to me. I also venture into drawing animals, people and buildings.
I have recently begun selling my work and have produced postage stamps featuring my birds. You can own my work by purchasing originals, limited edition or open-edition prints.
