I am obsessed with patterns. I wrote some art software to help me create zigzags. Over the years it grew to include over two dozen patterns and functionality such as randomized colors. This software is how I learned how to create pleasing color schemes and also the fundamentals of composition.
Although I enjoyed the maths involved in drawing ellipses made up of parallel lines, I found the best art was created from a few simple shapes. I have included just two of the works I made using my software, but more can be found on my Artstation profile.
I now work with acrylics to create art. I am inspired by nature and especially birds when designing the shapes I paint. When someone sees my paintings I want them to feel awe in the same way they would if they were to stumble upon an ocean vista or a vast mountain cliff face.
