Nature Photographer also known as N8turgrlpix. I make images of flowers, animals and fungi in their natural habitat with the goal of bringing awareness of the rare and endangered species. I donate to groups that are involved in conservation, education and restoring their Habitat.
I search out subjects that often go unseen and get great pleasure in capturing them closeup in an artistic way so that others gain an appreciation of them and want to look after them.
In 2021 I was awarded Fellowship Photography Honours for my work by the Nature Photography Society of NZ. I enter my nature images in national competitions and this year got a silver award for my Alpine Penwiper. From the 4th of October my image of a Baby Weka is part of the Nature Photography Society of NZ’s Black and White Exhibition at the Hanmer Springs Library.
