I am a self-taught artist with my foundation in life drawing. I gravitate to figurative work, loving the play of light and shadow on the human body.
I’m not aiming to create photo realism, but to capture emotion or expression.I love creating work that people connect to, images that resonate. I keep my art simple, allowing space to breathe.
My recent series are drawings on black paper, which I love because I am learning to capture the light rather than the shadow.I’m drawn to the clarity of monochromatic work at the moment, but won’t rule out a return to colour. I’m excited by images that are a little non-conventional in their approach.
I’m brimming with ideas to explore, ready to prioritise my art and see where it takes me.
I’m creating original works, but also selling prints and am open for commissions.
