The Christchurch Art Show is back for a tenth year of exhibition! Our venue – Te Pae – the new Christchurch Convention Centre is centrally located in the Christchurch city centre in the Cathedral Square. Friday Opening Night 17th March 7:30pm – 10:30pm is the exclusive opportunity to purchase works before the show opens for the public show days. The top ten artworks in the Lawson’s Dry Hills Wine People’s Choice Awards will open for voting and the Hann Construction Celebrity award presentation on opening night will be a highlight of the evening. The Liquitex and Winsor & Newton art awards will be presented on the show’s final day. Which is when the winner of the vote for the Lawson’s Dry Hill’s People’s Choice Award will be announced. There are over a hundred artists at the show, from all over Aotearoa. They are there to meet the public and many will demonstrate their techniques at the show.
Thousands of high quality original artworks are showcased at this visual art extravaganza, the South Island’s largest art sales event of the year. Public show days: Saturday 18th March 10am-6pm, Sunday 19th March 10am-6pm.
