About
The Kōwhai Collective is a group of talented local artists and designers.Our goals are to:-
- Grow local design
- Celebrate local designers
- Share our creativity
We do this by:-
- Being an inclusive community of designers
- Running a shop together
- Sharing our skills with one another and with the community
The Collective started out as Pay It Forward in 2011 – a creative social enterprise in the suburb of Mairehau. Since then it has morphed into The Kōwhai Collective and has changed location twice. We now inhabit an awesome little shop close to Little High.
The collective currently includes artists, jewellery makers, textile artists, glass and ceramic work, toy makers and woodwork.
