What do you feel is the most beneficial part of being an Arts Canterbury member?

"Being part of an artistic and 'generally' like-minded group - in an arts sense of course as many have a diverse range of backgrounds - and the support of creativity and art that such a group engenders."

"Being part of the social community, making new art buddies and getting involved with local art shows and exhibitions."

"Liaison, support and advice from other members, networking. Opportunities to exhibit and sell works and meet up with other members. Opportunities to share my own experience & learn of others. Opportunities to increase my knowledge, understanding and skills (Eg website Workshop)."

"Support of the Arts. Platform for sharing what I can create with a wider audience."

"Building a sense of community, opportunities to find out what is available, and helping artists make connections."

"The opportunity to exhibit. I don’t seem to join in with the social side but it’s good to know it’s there if I am able to. The support of other like minded people."

"Support from like minded people, info and invitations for exhibitions and shows, contact with other artists."

"AC has been going out of the way to support me - being new to trying to work out how things work arting in NZ and also living rural. The feeling of being a part of a supportive community is great, and also the facebook group has been a really valuable resource. Thank you! "

"Exhibitions, camaraderie; mixing with others who understand the trials and tribulations of being an artist."

"Being part of a network of like-minded, keen and supportive artists, having access to information regarding opportunities to exhibit."

"Potential exposure for sales or exhibiting opportunities"

"Friendships / Networking / Professionalism / Exhibition opportunities. I think it is a wonderful organisation."

"Making arty friends is the top benefit, but I also really appreciate the exhibition and workshop opportunities :-) "

"The many opportunities provided for members to exhibit, meet up and advertise their event. AC keeps members well informed."

"Being able to be seen as part of the Canterbury arts scene, exhibition opportunities."

"The support and guidance from other members, the interactions with other artists and the support and arranging/informing with exhibitions and workshops "
