Christchurch born, and having worked for architects and structural engineers, Sue has a great eye for detail, composition and perspective. Over the last 25 years she has developed a style of realistic quality, with a touch of impressionism that brings a scene or subject alive, capturing the atmosphere of the moment.
Her favourite medium is watercolour, and over the last five years, has had many trips away painting ‘en plein air’, with artist friends, capturing the South Island high country, braided rivers and streams. Abstracts and portraits in oils, and sculpture, are also her passion.
Viewing at Sue’s studio by appointment only, and commissions welcome.
