Maya is a semi-figurative landscape artist based in Christchurch. Her three happy decades in graphic design and illustration allowed easy translation into painting and digital art media. Art and design in varied forms have always been a driving interest in her life. Maya creates imagined or tangible landscapes, drawing her inspiration from photos, memories and imagination. Her work is often focused on the atmospheric relationship between sky and sea, or sky and land.
