Stoddart Cottage is the birthplace of respected 19th Century Canterbury botanical and impressionist painter, Margaret Stoddart. Housed in the oldest colonial dwelling in Diamond Harbour, Stoddart Cottage Gallery propagates the building’s creative tradition through its programme of monthly exhibitions. These feature work across a variety of mediums from emerging and established local artists and artisans, as well as those from further afield who engage in contemporary ways with themes that resonate with the Stoddart heritage. It is also home to the Stoddart Cottage Artisans, who run the gallery shop and craft store selling a wide range of handmade items.
To find the cottage, follow signposts on entering Diamond Harbour by road or from the ferry.
