Arts Canterbury respects your privacy. We collect only the information needed to manage memberships, events, and communications. Your data is stored securely on our devices and trusted cloud services, and it is never sold. We follow the requirements of the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, and you can request access to or correction of your information at any time by contacting us.

Membership Consent and Acknowledgement

By submitting this form and paying a fee to Arts Canterbury Incorporated, in accordance with the Privacy Act NZ 2020, I agree to my name, address and contact details being collected by Arts Canterbury Inc. for the purpose of Arts Canterbury Inc. records, for Arts Canterbury Inc. to retain, use and exchange between Arts Canterbury Incorporated members and to facilitate the delivery of Arts Canterbury Incorporated services.

I agree to samples of my work or reproduced images of samples of my work being used for the promotion of Arts Canterbury Incorporated including but not limited to the Arts Canterbury Incorporated website, Arts Canterbury Incorporated social media accounts and promotional material for the duration of my membership. 

I agree to uphold Arts Canterbury Incorporated’s Expectations of Members.

Expectations of Members

Arts Canterbury has a level of expectation from its members to uphold the values expected with the group. Some of these are shown below:

  • • At all times, act in ways that are consistent with the co-operative nature of Arts Canterbury and our mission (to foster an appreciation of visual arts and provide support to artists), purposes and priorities.
  • • Make timely payments of any charges or fees.
  • • Provide support and encouragement to other members.
  • • Respect others and their art works, promote Arts Canterbury.
  • • Abide by executive committee decisions, exhibition rules and decisions made by our exhibition co-ordinator and curators.
  • • Take all reasonable steps to constructively resolve any issues that might arise – if necessary contact our Chairperson or another executive member.
